Vhils Gets Grand Prix Spot For Mural

Image
Great news for one of our favorite artists, Vhils. The Ayrton Senna mural by Vhils will be displayed permanently at the newly renovated Grand Prix Museum in Macau, China. Known for its exceptional exhibitions of motorsports the museum opened to public on 1 April 2021. The Grand Prix Museum originally opened in 1993, however has been closed since 2017 for renovation. That’s a significant endorsement that is sure to reflect downstream in the value of all of Vhils' artwork.  I expect even broader horizons for Vhils in the next 3 years. Vhils first gained prominence when his work of a face carved into a wall appeared alongside a picture by street artist Banksy at the Cans Festival in London in 2008. A photograph of him creating the work appeared on the front page of The Times. You can see profile pages of a few of our Vhils artworks here at SoCo Modern in the links below. "One day I was visiting one of my watch dealers and noticed a bucket of old watch parts and asked him what the bucket was for, he told me that it was his garbage and asked if I was interested in it.
